Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
• 12 months of acute care experience.
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• COVID booster required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Neuro Tele
Required Skills/Experience Confidence with NIHSS skills and Q4 neuro checks required
Must be proficient with lab draws required
Preferred Skills/Experience: 6 months dedicated neuro experience preferred
6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
Required Credentials: Must pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library)
Preferred Credentials: Critical Care Course (preferred)
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:
Types of Patients on Unit: Patient Population: Post CVA, TIA, SCI, TBI and some trauma, Myasthenia Gravis, MS patients as well.
Equipment Used on Unit: Equipment: NG tubes, Tube Feeding (Kangaroo Pumps).
Unit/Facility Details: 18 Bed Neuro Tele Unit
Most patients will be on q4 hour neuro checks including NIHSS assessments. Nurses will be required to draw their own labs including peripheral draws.
All listed ratios are subject to change based on staffing availability at the facility. Ratios are never guaranteed but are what the unit typically attempts to achieve with normal staffing.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend/major holiday required
7 days maximum time off
2 references from last 2 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
