Nuclear Medical Technologist
Our Nuclear Medicine teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently reviewing applications for a Florida-licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Tech, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist include but are not limited to:
· Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans
· Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders; Administer and record dosages as well
· Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film
· Position patients and adjust immobilization devices
· Compassionately explain procedures to patients and addresses concerns
· Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH)
· Assist with transporting patients
