Experience:
• 2 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• High School completion required.
Requirements:
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - Presbyterian Healthcare Services.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Two (2) years current experience required in large OR.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Ortho, ENT and/or vascular experience preferred.
Required Credentials: HS Diploma or GED and one of the following: - Completion of a Surgical Technician training program or graduation from an accredited school is required; alternatively, a Certified Surgical Technician credential from NBSTSA or NCCT with ten (10) years of experience is accepted.
Unit Details: - Prepares and provides instruments and equipment during surgical procedures and works under the supervision of the surgeon. - Secures and prepares supplies and instruments before procedures; ensures preparation and maintenance of the sterile field; performs instrument counts and maintains counts of sponges, needles, and instruments during the procedure. - Prepares patient skin; positions and re-positions patients during surgery; helps monitor patients during surgery; provides supportive care during the pre-operative phase; performs scrub functions; ensures specimens are correctly handled and routed to the proper source. - Maintains current knowledge of equipment, procedures, supplies, anatomy/physiology, and medications used intraoperatively.
Floating Requirements: - Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.

2 references required from within the last 2 years

Certifications:
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)) or the alternative certification TS-C
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
