Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience with neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and robotics (Da Vinci Xi) cases is highly preferred.

Required Credentials: - MUSC does not accept NCCT certification.

Special Requests: - RTO is due at time of submission, and approval will be based on facility needs. - Parking requires a $20 registration fee for a hang tag for the 91 Presidents Street garage; there are no additional fees for that garage, but the hang tag does not cover other locations, where additional fees may apply. - If your start date is within 90 days, you must complete all labs within 72 hours of signing an offer with MUSC. - If unavailable for emergency response duties during hurricane season, do not confirm new assignments or extensions.

Unit Details: - A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency. - Common cases include ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), neuro (crani, spine), ENT (flaps), robotics, transplants/procurements, trauma/burns, and GU/GYN. - You may be expected to staff the full variety of cases supported by the Main OR. - During hurricane season (June through November; peak activity: August–September), travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams.

Shift & Scheduling: - No call. - Schedule includes Saturday, Sunday, and one additional weekday.

Floating Requirements: - The role requires floating within scope between like units and sister facilities to meet facility needs.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required
