Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Open cases, set up and maintain sterile OR cases for all service lines, including total joints, C-sections, laparoscopic procedures, cataract procedures, GYN procedures, and urology procedures.

Unit Details: - Case mix includes general surgery (hernia, exploratory laparotomy, colon, gall bladder), orthopedics (total joints and sports), podiatry, ophthalmology (cataracts only), GYN (hysterectomy, salpingectomy, hysteroscopy), urology (cysto, stents, laser stone, TURP), and OB (C-sections). - The operating room performs 13-15 cases per day. - Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing.

Shift & Scheduling: - The shift may be 8-hour or 10-hour shifts at 40 hours per week; both include call rotation. - On-call coverage is 1 day during the week, plus weekend rotation. - Weekend rotation is every 5th weekend on Saturday and Sunday; every 10th weekend is 8a-5p as second scrub. - The regular schedule is closed on holidays; holiday call covers emergent cases.

14 days maximum time off

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)) or the alternative certifications CORST, NCORST, NCST, NCST, NRCST, TS-C
