Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• Travel experience is required.
• 12 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required.
Requirements:
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities. Exceptions include: Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS
Required Skills/Experience: - Reprocessing trauma instruments/trays is required. - Must have 3s and 4s in neuro and trauma for Core 1. - Aneurysm case experience is required for Neuro call; this applies only to Core 1. - Experience with neuro, ortho trauma and totals, neuro spine, basic craniotomy and VP shunt, PV-RX AAA (start until PV call gets there), and thrombectomies is required. - Experience with trauma cases including spleen, organ donation, GSW, and thoracotomies; urology cystoscopies and stent placements; all general, GYN, and laparoscopic cases; basic ENT and plastics; oral max skills; dilation and curettage; and laparoscopic-assisted gynecological procedures is required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Some flap and scope experience is preferred.
Required Credentials: - Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Shift & Scheduling: - Call required: Neuro call: 90-120 hours every 6 weeks.
Unit Details: - The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. - Core 1 handles neuro and trauma cases. - The unit uses a DaVinci XI robotic surgical system.
5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
2 Manager references required from within the last 3 years
