Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medefis Program - Vail Health.

Additional Details:

Unit Details: Assists with surgical procedures by maintaining the sterile field and providing instrumentation to the surgical team under the direction of an RN. Uses sterile and aseptic technique for invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures and follows AORN standards. Responsibilities include checking sterile items and packaging integrity/expiration dates, monitoring the sterile field for contamination, supporting patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparation, and cleaning/preparing instruments for terminal sterilization. Tier 1 surgical cases. Patient population: all ages.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)) or the alternative certifications CORST, NCORST, NCST, NCST, NRCST, TS-C
