Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
Working knowledge of AORN standards is required.

Required Credentials:
Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or licensure as a surgical technologist is required.

Unit Details:
Assists with surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile surgical field and providing instrumentation to the surgical team.
The assignment includes Tier 1 surgical cases; competency may be in progress or established.
Participates fully in perioperative time-out briefings and debriefings.
Assists with patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparation.
Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
Patient population includes all age groups.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)) or the alternative certifications CORST, NCORST, NCST, NCST, NRCST, TS-C
