Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• GED completion required.

Requirements:

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medefis Program - Southeast Alaska Regional Health Co (SEARHC).

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: - Completion of a technologist training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or another accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.

Unit Details: - Scrubs in on advanced and complex surgical procedures under professional nurse supervision. - Sets up sterile tables with instruments, equipment, supplies, and medications/solutions needed for surgical procedures. - Prepares instruments and equipment for cleaning and terminal sterilization. - Uses Meditech.

Shift & Scheduling: - Tuesday-Friday schedule. - Requires on-call/call back, including backup call for emergency cases that may require two surgical technicians.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
