Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If clinician has questions, please email the AM. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: - Neuro/spine skills required; neuro is a hard stop. - Neuro scrub and aseptic technique required. - Must have 4’s on skills checklist for neuro surgery: Anterior cervical fusion, burr holes, cervical fusion, craniotomy, deep brain stimulation, insertion of VP shunt, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, stereotactic radiosurgery, Posterior Fossa Decompression, ALIF, and MIS. - General, ortho, neuro, and plastics surgery cases required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Neonates, infants, and pediatrics preferred. - Work Setting Experience Preferred: Inpatient, Outpatient, Teaching Hospital, Community Hospital, Children’s Hospital - Teaching Hospital Experience - Community Hospital Experience
Unit Details: - Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. - Top services are neurosurgery, orthopedics, and reconstructive plastics; neurosurgery and orthopedics include spine surgery. - Uses Xi and Si robots, two ortho/neuro robots, and a deep brain surgery robot. - Neuro cases include acoustic neuroma, brain biopsy, brain aneurysm, endovascular neurosurgery, neuroendoscopy, open microvascular neurosurgery, thrombectomy, ventriculostomy, XLIF, and kyphoplasty.
Shift & Scheduling: - On call: up to 6 calls per 6-week schedule; must be able to respond within 60 minutes. - RTO: 3 days per 13-week contract.
3 days maximum time off
2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA))
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
