Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• High School completion required.

Requirements:

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Rightsourcing Program - IHC Health Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Rightsourcing Program - IHC Health Services.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: - Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program. - OR Graduated from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past Six (6) months (not eligible for Tech in Surgery exam). - OR Two (2) years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last Three (3) years. - High School Diploma or GED is required. - Graduation from formal, accredited surgical technologist program is required. - Training in the US military may substitute for the completion of the formal surgical technologist training.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - One (1) yr. OR scrubbing experience is preferred. - One (1) yr. clinical experience in an accredited hospital is preferred.

Unit Details: - Performs scrub duties and maintains sterile supplies and sterile technique. - Assists in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients; assembles, organizes and completes case carts according to doctor’s preference lists. - Provides appropriate instrumentation, suture and supplies as requested and maintains a sterile environment; may assist the surgeon by passing instruments during cases. - Assists in maintenance and care of specimens and prepares for laboratory analysis. - May assist with sterile processing. - Assists with timely turnover of rooms, including clean up, replacement and restocking of supplies and equipment.

Shift & Scheduling: - May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.

Floating Requirements: - May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required
