Shift: 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM

Experience:

• 36 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is required.

• 24 months of acute care experience within the last 3 years.

• 24 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required within the last 3 years.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Must have neuro experience. Required work setting experience: General OR, Teaching Hospital and trauma. Required case/procedure experience: ENT (Direct laryngoscopy, radical neck dissection, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy); endoscopic procedures (Colonoscopy, EGD, PEG tube placement/exchange); general surgery (Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection - open/LAP, hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, laparoscopic assisted procedures, mastectomy, thyroidectomy partial/total); gynecology (Abdominal hysterectomy, anterior/posterior repair, bilateral tubal ligation, dilation & curettage, laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures, vaginal hysterectomy); neurosurgery (Craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion); oral (Repair of fractured jaws, mandibular and zygomatic); orthopedic (Arthroscopy, arthrotomy, carpal tunnel release, closed/open reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy); plastic surgery (Free flap - microvascular); trauma (Amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries)); urology (Cystoscopy, laparoscopic assisted cases, nephrectomy, ureteroscopy); emergency management (Fire safety); equipment/instrumentation/supplies (Drills (multiple types), electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords); professional knowledge and skills (Aseptic technique, isolation precautions, radiation safety, sharps safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedure).

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience Preferred.

Special Requests: Must be in Illinois 3 business days prior to start for fingerprinting. Discuss schedule requests with manager. Discuss RTO with manager - all time off must be reviewed and approved by manager.

Unit Details: Unit covers everything except eyes and cardiothoracic. Uses Xi Robot, Mazor Robot, Rosa Robot, and multiple microscopes. Patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends are once a month with a total of 16 hours of obligation. On-call required as needed for the department.

Floating Requirements: Float within scope of practice.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 2

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required
