Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of acute care experience.
• High School completion required.
Requirements:
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• No previous experience allowed for Staff at Facility: CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.
• No previous experience allowed for Part-Time at Facility: CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.

Additional Details:
Required Credentials: - Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program is required. - Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license required. - High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Preferred Skills/Experience: - 2 or more years of experience preferred. - Ability to proficiently scrub 3 specialty areas including but not limited to: Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, Robotics, etc. is highly preferred.
Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained.
Unit Details: - Assists with preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, transports patients to and from the operating room suite, positions patients according to the type of surgery, identifies and cares for biological specimens, and prepares the operating room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to the type of case.
Shift & Scheduling: - No weekend requirement. - On-call required.
7 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Certifications:
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA))
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
