Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - IU Health.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - IU Health.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be able to scrub liver recipient transplants independently. - Must have strong transplant experience within the last 2 years with actual procedure experience in liver transplant recipient procedures. - Teaching hospital experience required. - Required skills include large open belly cases, general, urology, thoracic, gyn, scrub, aseptic technique, plastics, Whipple, liver resection, and free flap.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Bronchoscopes, EGD scopes, EUS, and flex sigmoidoscopes preferred.

Required Credentials: - Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Unit Details: - Academic health center and teaching hospital with complex cancer-related care and high-acuity patients. - Covers general OR cases including general urology, thoracic, ortho, gyn, transplant, ENT, plastics, and oral/maxillofacial procedures. - Adult and geriatric patient population.

Shift & Scheduling: - Call requirement: 40-60 hours of call in a 6 week schedule. - Holidays required.

Floating Requirements: - Will float to general OR and possibly Riley as needed, including pediatric transplant cases; pediatric experience preferred but not required.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 3 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA))
