Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• High School completion required.
Requirements:
• This role will require floating to multiple locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - Presbyterian Healthcare Services.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Two (2) years current experience required in large OR.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Ortho, ENT and/or vascular experience preferred.
Required Credentials: –HS Diploma or GED and one of the following: - Completion of a Surgical Technician training program or graduation from an accredited school, or a Certified Surgical Technician credential from NBSTSA or NCCT plus ten (10) years of experience.
Unit Details: - Works under the supervision of the surgeon and provides assistance by preparing and providing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures in the operating room. - Role includes maintaining the sterile field, performing instrument counts, securing and preparing supplies and instruments, preparing patient skin, positioning and re-positioning patients, monitoring patients during surgery, providing pre-operative supportive care, performing scrub functions, and ensuring specimens are correctly handled and routed to the proper source. - Maintains knowledge of equipment, procedures, supplies, anatomy/physiology, and medications used intraoperatively. - Uses Epic; on-site training available.
Shift & Scheduling: - varied day start times and shift lengths Monday - Friday. - Call weeknights, weekends, and holidays - up to 6 call shifts a month.
Floating Requirements: - Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required. - Floating to other departments is not expected.
7 days maximum time off
2 references required from within the last 2 years

Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA)) or the alternative certification TS-C
