Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

• AS completion required.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 1-2+ years of experience; pediatric experience required.

Required Credentials: Associate degree or certificate.

Preferred Credentials: Pediatric Registry preferred.

Unit Details: Patient population spans neonatal, infant, toddler, preschool, school-age, adolescent, and adult patients throughout the growth and development continuum. Operates echocardiographic equipment to produce diagnostic studies. Pediatric transthoracic echocardiography includes B-mode (parasternal, apical, subcostal, and suprasternal views) and Doppler, including color. Explains echocardiography procedures to patients and families as needed. Prepares preliminary pediatric echocardiography reports for cardiologist interpretation and reviews studies with the cardiologist. For an 8-hour day, there is potential for 7-8 studies, with 5-6 being typical; volumes may vary based on clinic and inpatient orders.

Shift & Scheduling: Monday-Friday. No call. Flexible contract hours: set hours per week, except during holidays when the unit is closed and during orientation week.
