Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - IU Health.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - IU Health.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Skillset: Must have L&D experience, as they will be primarily in L&D. PICU, 2 years minimum experience required, Children’s hospital experience in the last 3 years
  • Must have Children’s Hospital experience within the last 3 years; Open to travelers whose experience is a level 1 adult facility.
  • NICU or PICU experience.
  • Skills: Pediatric Critical Care, Medication Administration, Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Mucomyst, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Tobramycin, Xopenex, Nebulizer, Hand held, T-piece, Trach collar, Professional Knowledge and Skills, Airway Management Devices/Suctioning, Extubation, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oral/nasal Suctioning, Pulmonary Hygiene, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy care/management, Medication Delivery Systems, Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI), Ventilator Management, BiPAP, CPAP, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation, Neonatal/Pediatrics - Equipment/procedures, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, Additional Skills

Preferred Skills/Experience: Skills: Pediatrics, Bicarbonate, Inhaled Flolan, Nitric Oxide (INo), Heated, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Servo U

Required Credentials:

  • Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA.
  • Valid Driver’s License or Passport accepted

Unit/Facility Details: Home unit of NICU, PICU, or Peds will be assigned once at the facility but can be changed based on the need of the facility.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Friday to Sunday
  • Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: May be assigned to PICU, NICU, and Peds, and floating to any of the 3 specialties can occur. May also float to IU Health North Hospital

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 3 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
