Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 18 months.

• 3 months of travel experience is required with any experience within the last 18 months.

• Experience with Epic is required within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 24 months of Pediatric and/or Oncology experience required. - Hematology/oncology experience required. - Must have completed 1 travel contract within previous 18 months.

Special Requests: - Former UPH FTE or UPH float pool PRN employees cannot work travel in another market, regardless of which facility they currently work at or have worked at within the past 12 months. - If you previously worked travel at UPH, not as an FTE or PRN employee, the separation policy does not apply.

Unit Details: - Patient types include pediatric hematology/oncology, medical-surgical, and all pediatric specialties.

Shift & Scheduling: - Call may be required during low census from 2300-0700. - Every 3rd weekend. - Unless the unit is closed, the contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).

Floating Requirements: - Must be willing to float to the pediatric emergency department to care for inpatient holds; may also help with general pediatric patients boarding in the ED. - May float across NICU, B3 general floor, and PICU.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• APHON (APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider)
