Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 18 months.

• Experience with Epic is required within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers are welcomed if they have at least 12 months of pediatric experience.

Special Requests: Any former UPH employee who was an FTE or PRN staff member for the UPH float pool cannot work a travel assignment in another market, regardless of which facility they currently work at or have worked at within the past 12 months. If the individual worked a travel assignment at UPH, this separation policy does not apply.

Unit Details: Patient population includes pediatric hematology/oncology, medical-surgical, and all pediatric specialties.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend rotation is every 3rd weekend. Holiday rotation applies; unless the unit is closed, the contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day). On-call is required only during scheduled shifts for low census.

Floating Requirements: May float across ED boarders, Peds ED, PICU, NICU, and Peds oncology/hematology, including B4, when needed.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
