Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to titrate drips; will consider candidates without insulin experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience: PICU experience preferred. NICU experience preferred.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Block scheduling may be considered if unit needs are met. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
Unit Details: Cares for routine stable pediatric med-surg patients ages 0-18, including intermediate peds, ICU feeder-grower overflow, surgical ortho/appys/GI/MVAs, respiratory, diabetic, seizure, failure to thrive, and occasional jaundice/bili babies. Common titratable/set-rate drips include Tylenol, Keppra, and insulin. Typically only 2 nurses work together on the unit; a tech/helping hands may be available when census is above 5. Pediatrician is in house 7 days a week until 5p and on call at night. Uses CPAP, high flow, and nasal cannula; RT is in house 24/7 for minimal troubleshooting. Remote telemetry is monitored from another floor; RNs do not need to interpret strips. Uses Phillips monitors. Includes pre-op and second-phase recovery for some pediatric patients. Locked unit.
Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling based on seniority. Weekend requirement: every other or every 3rd weekend. Holiday requirement: 2 per year.
Floating Requirements: First to float. As census fluctuates, primarily floats to NICU and newborn nursery and may be utilized for 1:1 sitting.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
