Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Each employment history entry on the resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on the resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity. RTO must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.

Unit Details: Adult and pediatric patients; common diagnoses include UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD. Common drips include electrolytes, hypertensive medications, and diuretics; RNs do not titrate hypertensive/hypotensive medications, and continuous diuretic infusions are rare. Pediatric patients are managed by a pediatrician on call rather than an in-house hospitalist. No vents on the unit; occasional BiPAP is managed primarily by RT. Telemetry is monitored in ICU; unit nurses apply telemetry to patients. Nurse:patient ratios are 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling. Weekends as needed. No holiday requirement.

Floating Requirements: First to float. May float to ED/ICU for 1:1 assignments as needed.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
