Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• BSN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - No first-time travelers. - High-flow nasal cannula experience. - Chest tube management.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Inpatient pediatric academic medical center experience preferred.
Special Requests: - Maximum of 7 days may be reviewed. - No RTO approved during the first two weeks of the assignment.
Unit Details: - Hard-wired cardiac monitoring with centralized monitoring. - Patient population includes GI disorders, endocrine disorders, bariatric/nutritional restoration, infections including sepsis, minimal surgical post-op/procedure care, some chest tube patients, and long-term behavioral health patients. - Uses Medfusion IV pumps, Baxter Sigma IV pumps, and Kangaroo feeding pumps. - Respiratory support available on the unit 24/7 (1 RT per 12-14 patients). - Behavioral health professional on every shift.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No on-call. - Holidays if needed.
Floating Requirements: - Float to acute care units, NICU, and North/South campuses. - May be floated or reassigned within clinical competency to other Denver Metro locations up to 35 miles from the assigned facility unless otherwise specified in the assignment confirmation.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 09/06/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027, 01/18/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 0. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
