Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• BSN completion preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 2 years pediatric RN experience in a large pediatric facility.
Unit Details: Patient ratio 1:3-4, occasionally 1:2 based on acuity. Experience with trach/vent patients, EVD and lumbar drains, chest tubes, JP drains, central lines, TPN/lipids, CPM/ortho/halo traction, colostomy, ileostomy, cecostomy, and nephrostomy care. TBI, neuro assessments, seizure management, solid organ transplant patients (liver/kidney), and trauma and rehabilitation patients. Uses Medfusion and Baxter Sigma IV pumps, Kangaroo feeding pumps, CADD PCA pumps, and VocSN trach ventilators. RN starts IVs; ketamine drips, heparin drips, and high-flow oxygen weaning are managed by RN staff. Respiratory support is available 24/7; anesthesia support is available as needed.
Shift & Scheduling: Modified self-scheduling through an internal scheduling committee. 10 weekend shifts per 8-week scheduling block (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). No call. Holidays as needed for scheduling.
Special Requests: No RTO approved during the first two weeks of the assignment. RTO not disclosed at the time of submission may not be approved.
Floating Requirements: First to float to Medical, Oncology, Respiratory, Cardiac Acute Care, Rehab, and NICU; possible NOC sites include North/South Campuses.
Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027, 01/18/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027, 09/05/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 0. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
