Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Special Requests: - At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. - Holidays are required unless discussed and approved during interview phase.

Unit Details: - Medical/surgical pediatric patients, including hyperbilirubinemia, neuro, diabetes, failure to thrive, cystic fibrosis, COVID, and ortho cases. - Uses heated high flow and BiPAP with specific parameters in place. - Cares for monitored pediatric patients; a pediatric monitor tech watches monitors and contacts caregivers with concerns.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. Day shift weekend is Sat/Sun. - Call is not mandatory at this time.

Floating Requirements: - Can float within the children’s hospital to other pediatric units and to mom/baby for baby assignments. No ICUs unless experienced, and no chemo patients.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
