Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - (Midwest) CommonSpirit Health.

Additional Details:
Special Requests: - Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. - Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - RTO must be requested upfront; 7 or fewer days are allowed per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.
Unit Details: - Adult and pediatric Med-Surg patients, including UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD. - Occasional BiPAP; no vents on the unit. Respiratory therapy primarily manages BiPAP. - ICU monitors telemetry and reads strips; Med-Surg/Peds nurses apply telemetry to patients.
Shift & Scheduling: - 7-7 with self-scheduling. - Weekends as needed. - No holiday requirement.
Floating Requirements: - First to float. - May float to ED/ICU for 1:1s as needed.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
