Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 10 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

• BSN completion required

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• 3+ years inpatient pediatric academic medical center experience.
• Experience with high flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, phototherapy and some NICU experience.

Types of Patients on Unit: GI, Endocrine, Bariatric – Nutritional Restoration, Infection – sepsis. Minimal Surgical Post Op / procedure care – some chest tubes. LOS – 4 days. Some long term care behavioral health patients.

Equipment Used on Unit: Medfusion & Baxter Sigma- IV pumps, Kangaroo Feeding Pump

Unit Details: 48 bed, hard wired cardiac monitoring, centralized monitoring

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend Requirement: yes, every other
• Holiday Requirements: ​Yes, 50% of holidays during assignment, specifics to be discussed in interview​

Floating Requirements:

• Acute care units, NICU and North/South campus
• Client reserves the right to float or reassign Personnel to other areas of practice within their clinical competence to fulfill the scheduled guaranteed hours and in the Denver Metro area within thirty-five (35) miles of their originally assigned facility (unless otherwise agreed to in such Personnel’s individual assignment confirmation)
