Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience: Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required for this unit and all MMC Med Surg units. Skills: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Administration of blood & blood products, Care and management of ports, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs, TPN/Lipids, Anti-Seizure Medications, Pediatric Dosage Calculations, Assist with lumbar puncture, Neuromuscular disease, Seizure disorders, Management of Chest Tubes, Oxygen Delivery Systems, Tracheostomy care/management, Breastfeeding Support/Handling of Breast Milk, Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), NG tube insertion/ management, Fractures, Hyperbilirubinemia, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions, Wound assessment/care, Insertion and management of indwelling urinary catheter, Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS)/Rapid Response Team, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Pediatric MedSurg.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience. Skills: Administration of chemotherapy, Monitoring chemotherapy (does not initiate), Symptom management, BiPAP/CPAP, Insulin administration, IV Insulin Pumps, Renal failure, Post Cardiac Cath, Pediatric oncology.
Required Credentials: BSSR Attestation. ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government issued photo ID.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Every other holiday. No call.
Floating Requirements: Float to PICU required.
