Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 10 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services.

Additional Details:
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred. Teaching hospital experience preferred.
Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract.
Unit Details: Pediatric unit is located within the postpartum unit. Cares for neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients. Pediatric cases include asthma, bronchiolitis, other upper respiratory infections, suicidal ideation, other psych issues, simple post-surgical cases (appy, T & A, etc.), failure to thrive, jaundice, and non-accidental trauma. Postpartum cases include vaginal and C-section patients.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. 4 weekend shifts per contract. No call.
Floating Requirements: Float to postpartum and Special Care Nursery.
5 days maximum time off
2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
