Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy critical care experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Previous experience in a Level 1 trauma center and/or high-acuity organizations preferred.

Unit Details: - Patient population varies based on workload and includes post-surgical, pneumonia, COPD, asthma, and ED patients. - Lead therapists are available on each shift, including adult and pediatric lead therapists. - Equipment includes Servo U, Servo Air, The Vest, Volara, Aerogen, Heated High Flow, and cough assist; pediatrics may also involve HFJV and HFOV.

Special Requests: - RTO requires manager approval.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - No on-call required. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: - Assignments will be based on traveler’s experience and unit needs and may include ICU areas or medical/surgical floors.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
