Pediatric Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2200 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Pediatric Respiratory Unit experience with 1 month within the last 60 months (5 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 2 years Respiratory Therapy (Resource Team) combined pediatric unit experience in the past 5 years (must’ve had peds only assignments, not mixed age populations) - IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience

Special Requests: - Up to 6 days off may be approved, excluding holidays; time must be added to the end of the contract if contracted hours cannot be met.

Unit Details: - Provides respiratory care for all pediatric patients throughout the children’s hospital, from neonates through pediatrics. - Coverage includes ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and general med floors.

Shift & Scheduling: - Shift times: 0645-1915/1845-0715. - Every other weekend. - No call. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: - Will not be floated to another facility due to specialty needs.

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
