Pediatric Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2340 per week.

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <35 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy critical care experience.

Required Credentials: - CRT is acceptable in lieu of RRT.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Previous experience in high-acuity organizations preferred.

Unit Details: - Assigned to the neonatal/pediatric patient population. - Assignments may be in ICU or medical/surgical areas based on department needs. - Patient diagnoses may vary by workload and include post-surgical respiratory cases, pneumonia, asthma, and ED patients. - Uses Servo U, Servo Air, The Vest, Volara, Aerogen, Heated High Flow, and cough assist; pediatrics experience with HFJV and HFOV preferred.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - No on-call required.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
