Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Nationwide Childrens and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Nationwide Childrens.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years experience in a pediatric hospital. Experience required: Optiflow hi-flo system; Metaneb, cough assist, aerogen, chest physiotherapy including using the vest; continuous albuterol administration; Volara; Heliox; asthma education; tracheostomy tubes; LTV ventilator; EV300 ventilator. Equipment must have experience required: Hamilton G5, Trilogy, V60, Sipap. Pulmonary/complex care unit consisting of a wide variety of respiratory disease processes. Need to be able to care for all ages, trach patients, and non-invasive devices.

  • Must have exp in NICU/PICU due to floating requirement.
  • Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI), Albuterol, Nitric Oxide (INo), BiPAP, CPAP, High frequency oscillator, Cold Nebulizer, Hand held Nebulizer, Heated Nebulizer, T-piece Nebulizer, Trach collar Nebulizer, Ultrasonic Nebulizer, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, Oscillating Ventilator, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Intubation Assist, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral/nasal Suctioning, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy care/management, NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, G5 Hamilton Vent.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience preferred.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Will need to float to other areas, including the ICUs if needed.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

7 days maximum time off

2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition) or the alternative certification NRP
