Experience:

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have recent hospital experience

Required Credentials: Education: Associate Degree or Certificate

Types of Patients on Unit: Provides care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients.

Equipment Used on Unit: Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps

Unit/Facility Details: Post Surgical Care Unit; post recovery after PACU.

40 bed inpatient area

Patient Ratio: Day/PM - 1/4 or 5, Nights - 1/5-7

Fast paced post-surgical unit that averages 10-15 admissions per day with the highest occurring on Day/PM. Occupancy of unit is90-95 % during the week with average length of stay 2 – 3 days (except joints).

Shift & Scheduling: Day/Night variables. 7a-7p/7p-7a

Every Other Weekend and Holiday

Floating Requirements: To all inpatient units; would be given appropriate patient assignments

Specialty Floats: Intermediate Care, Medical Surgical / Telemetry, Intensive Care Unit

9 days maximum time off

1 reference from last 3 years (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission

1 reference from last 12 months (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

Proof of identification required
