UNIT SUMMARY: 29-bed surgical oncology unit with a focus on GYN malignancies. We care for a large variety of oncology patients, with solid tumors, orthopedic cancer and hematologic cancers to name a few. With a large, complex post-surgical population, this setting will allow the development of strong assessment, intervention and communication skills. The unit also cares for patients who develop complications from their disease and complications from complex chemotherapy.
JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the patient care team, the RN, Registered Nurse at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college
- Requires knowledge of a specialized field.
- Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse, registered to practice in Maryland.
- American Heart Association CPR Certification
