UNIT SUMMARY: The Gastrointestinal/Genitourinary Unit (GI/GU) is a 19-27 bed inpatient medical surgical unit offering 24- hour care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse gastrointestinal and genitourinary diagnoses such as: Abdominal pain of unknown etiology, Gallbladder Disease, GI Bleeds, Surgery of the Colon, Gallbladder, Liver, Pancreas, Prostate, and Spleen, Infections, Neoplasms, and Ostomies. 
 
JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the patient care team, the RN, Registered Nurse at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.
 
REQUIREMENTS: 
	- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college) 
 
	- Requires knowledge of a specialized field. 
 
	- Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing. 
 
	- Less than 1 year of experience. 
 
	- Licensed as a Registered Nurse, registered to practice in Maryland. 
 
	- American Heart Association CPR Certification.
