Unit Highlights

Nurses in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab provide skilled, patient-centered care for both out-patients and in-patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures using imaging guidance. Our team operates four procedural labs and focuses on comprehensive pre- and intra-procedural patient care. In addition to our growing cardiac program, our lab supports a diverse range of specialty procedures including, interventional bronchoscopy, peripheral vascular intervention, and bone marrow harvesting. Key Responsibilities
In this role, the Clinical Nurse will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to complex. The nurse performs comprehensive pre-procedural assessment and prepares patients for a wide range of minimally invasive interventions. During procedures, the nurse provides continuous monitoring, administers moderate sedation under physician guidance in accordance with policies. Strong clinical judgement required in recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition. This role requires collaboration with physicians and anesthesia colleagues to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care. Recovery for our patients is managed by a dedicated procedural PACU

 

Schedule

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Typical hours: 6:30AM – 5:00PM or 7:00AM – 5:30 PM
• No call
• No nights
• No weekends
• No holidays

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• At least one to two years of registered nurse cardiac catheterization lab or peripheral vascular procedure lab experience required.
• Active DC RN License
• Basic and Advanced Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).
