Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for handling front office reception, registering patients in connect care and administration duties, including greeting guests and answering phones, handling company inquiries, and sorting and distribution of mail.

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.  

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age, specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures

  • Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel.

  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of calls, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department.

  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.

  • Receives, sorts, and routes mail; maintains and routes publications.

  • Takes payments for services if applicable.

  • Ability to process verbal information and input this information into computer system.

  • Schedule, register and Check in Patients in Methasoft EMR.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, especially support duties that would include taking urinalysis specimens and alcohol breathalyzer readings.  

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School graduate, GED Diploma, HS Equivalent, or higher.
  • One year of related experience with Patient Registration required; 2+ years of experience preferred.

  • Must be proficient with computers
