Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $1650 per week.

Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Adult critical care experience. Pediatric experience is not required, but you must be willing to learn here. First-time travelers are accepted with previous adult critical care experience. Required skills include oxygen, aerosol/MDI treatments, ventilator management, trach, CPT, suctioning, PEP therapy, and ABG.

Special Requests: RTO approval must go through the manager.

Unit Details: Patient types/common diagnoses include COPD, transplant, CVICU, cystic fibrosis, asthma, heart failure, LVAD, and neuro; Frazier home ventilators and a few pediatric patients are also included. Patient load varies; in the ICU, the team tries to cap the load at 6 ventilated patients. Uses Omnicell for medication dispensing. Philips monitors are used. Equipment includes V60 BiPAP, PB 980, NK 440, NK 550, Hamilton MR-1, Zoll, Airvo/high-flow, nitric managed only in CVICU, Veletri, and nocturnal BiPAP using V30 and ResMed.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend rotation includes 4 weekend shifts in a month. No call. Holidays are as needed. The schedule is made a month at a time.

Floating Requirements: Could float to Frazier Rehab, which is on the same campus as Jewish Hospital.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027, 09/06/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 0

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
