Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - IU Health.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - IU Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, L&D, NICU, and Pediatrics skillset required. Airway management (Endrotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, intubation assist, nasal airway placement, oral airway placement, tracheostomy/suctioning). Aerosol set up mask, aerosol set up trach, and nebulizer (heated, trach collar). Vent management (BiPAP, CPAP, weaning from mechanical ventilation), O2 therapy (high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), suction), and Neonatal/Pediatrics support (assist in high risk delivery, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, oscillating ventilator).

Preferred Skills/Experience: Best fit would be Adult travelers with Labor and delivery experience. Best fit would be Adult travelers with Pediatric experience.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: First-time travelers accepted. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities. Exceptions include: Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.

Unit Details: Community-based facility serving adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients. This is not a home-based position.

Shift & Scheduling: Holiday coverage and every other weekend required (Saturday, Sunday). Required to work 2 of the 3 holidays; the leadership team will determine the 2 holidays.

Floating Requirements: Will be required to rotate in the following areas: Emergency Department, Adult ICU, Adult Med surg unit, Adult Progressive Care Unit. Our ED is a full-service community based Emergency Department, so the candidate will be required to assist with some pediatric care as applicable in the emergency room. Facility needs a traveler to be able to float between high risk deliveries and NICU II, Adult acute care and ER. This position will float to meet the needs and skill set on arrival. Will float between skill set and other IU facilities.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 3 years

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
