Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $1880 per week.

Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on drivers license.
Ascension Health does not accept TDAP, Varicella, or MMR declinations.

Required Skills/Experience

• Critical care experience required.

Required Credentials

• Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.
• Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; completed prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter in specialty; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization; only 2 attempts allowed.
• Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; topics include HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, and OSHA; completed within a year of start and updated every 3 years; minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization; only 2 attempts allowed.

Special Requests

• Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Unit Details

• Supports a diverse patient population across the Emergency Department, medical and surgical intensive care units, and medical-surgical floors.
• Respiratory care includes routine respiratory treatments, advanced airway management, mechanical ventilation, and emergency respiratory support.
• Develops tailored, diagnosis-based care plans for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
• Administers complex care modalities, manages specialized equipment, and monitors real-time patient conditions to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Continuously assesses medication responses and treatment performance to adjust care plans based on individual patient progress.
• Educates patients and caregivers on managing their conditions and connects them with vital community support programs.
• Responds swiftly to life-threatening resuscitation codes as a key member of the urgent response team.
