Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $1880 per week.

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.

Required Credentials: Ascension Core Competencies are required during onboarding. HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, and OSHA topics are included; completion is required within a year of start and must be updated every 3 years. A minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization is required, with only 2 attempts allowed. Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position. In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on drivers license.

Unit Details: Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis. Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities. Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome. Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about community support groups and other available programs. Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.

Shift & Scheduling: Travelers will be required to work up to 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period and holidays if the department has a need.
