Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $1880 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 2 years within the last 48 months (4 years).

• 2 years of Respiratory Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney.

Required Skills/Experience: - Critical care experience required. - Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience and 1 travel contract. - 300+ bed facility experience required. - Must have experience with intubating patients and be comfortable intubating patients. - Must be able to work adult ICU and work the vents, feel confident making suggestions for vent management, read ABGs, and alert critical values.

Unit Details: - Uses Meditech. - Average workload is 550 treatment minutes per shift, about 15 minutes per treatment, with 13-15 patients per shift. - Adult assignments may include pediatric through adult patients; NICU respiratory therapists are separate from adult assignments. - Duties include nebulizer treatments, airway management, Vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, ventilator management, ABG collection, bedside PFTs, CPT, and in ICU, blood gas management, intubation, bronchoscopy, and A-line placement. - Common patient conditions include COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, and cancers. - ICU assignments may include up to 4 airways per therapist. - Uses Servo vents (U and I models). - Hospitalist or intensivist coverage is in house 24/7.

Shift & Scheduling: - Holidays are rotated with permanent staff; every other holiday can be expected. - Call: None.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
