Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• BS completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Must have experience with vents, high-flow nasal cannula, and heated high flow.

Preferred Skills/Experience: NICU training is not required but preferred.

Required Credentials: EKG exam is not required.

Preferred Credentials: Epic electronic health record training preferred.

Unit Details: Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatric patients, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. RTs ideally take 40-50 units. Uses 980 vents. RTs are responsible for both nebulized and other inhaled medications. NICU support is normally provided by the on-site charge therapist rather than an agency RT.

Shift & Scheduling: Nights will rotate each week, every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: RTs are assigned by points, which vary depending on volume and staffing, so they may work on multiple floors depending on the load. RTs may be assigned to the ER, ICU, CVICU, step-down unit, and regular Med-Surg floors.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
