Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Nebraska Methodist Health System.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have experience in a similar-size facility and setting.
Special Requests: - Block scheduling may be allowed if it works for unit needs and schedule.
Unit Details: - Inpatient coverage includes Med-Surg, ER, and ICU. - Treatments are performed per protocol/assessment, with both scheduled and PRN treatments; treatment volume varies daily, with approximately 10 to 30 treatments per day. - Mainly adult patients, some pediatrics, and rarely neonates; critical neonates are stabilized and transferred to Children’s Hospital in Omaha. - Responsibilities include drawing all ABGs, administering nebulizers and breathing treatments, providing inhaler teaching as needed, managing vents, BiPAP, and heated high flow, and performing EKGs when the diagnostic department is closed. - RTs assist with intubations but are not required to intubate independently. - Typically 2 RTs cover the house 24/7, with 2 to 3 RTs scheduled per shift. - Uses Draeger vents, V60 BiPAP, Optiflow for heated high flow, and Respironics CPAP. - Hospitalist coverage is available 24/7, sometimes with APRN support backed by the eICU.
Shift & Scheduling: - Shifts may flex up or down based on unit needs; travelers must be flexible. - Every 3rd weekend for day shift (Sat/Sun). - Holiday shifts may be worked if available and desired. - No call.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
