Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - IU Health.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - IU Health.

  • Screen 2 years of strong experience.
  • Special Requirements: COPD, Asthma, SOA, Pneumonia, and other respiratory diagnoses. Hamilton equipment for BiPAPS and Vents
  • Type of Cases: Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral/nasal Suctioning, Pulmonary Hygiene, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Tracheostomy care/management, Aspiration, COVID, Pneumonia, Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled steroids, Mucomyst, Perforomist Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Theophylline, Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI), Hand held, T-piece, Trach collar, Ultrasonic, Bag and mask, ET Tube, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Oxygen tanks, T-piece, Trach collar, Arterial punctures, Respiratory Therapy Administration, BiPAP, CPAP, Flow-by, SIMV (Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation, Bubble CPAP, Basic EKG, Chest Physiotherapy, Drawing arterial blood gases, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Direct Intubation, Nasal airway placement, Oral airway placement, Sputum specimen collection, ARDS, Cystic fibrosis, Patient Transport (inter-departmental and ambulance transport), Assist in high risk delivery, IMV/SIMV, Intubation Assist, Near drowning, Respiratory distress syndrome, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)

Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: Free

Shift & Scheduling:

  • 3x12s or 4x12s
  • Weekend REQ: Every 3rd Weekend - 4 weekend shifts per contract
  • Call Requirement: Typically, 1-2 OC weekend shifts in a 6-week sched

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Details:

AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1

2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 3 years

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
