Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required with 1 month within the last 18 months.

Requirements:

• This role will require floating to multiple locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Floating experience does not count toward the experience requirement. Correctional facility experience does not count toward the experience requirement. First-time travelers are accepted with 2 years of experience.

No employment gap is permitted in the past 4+ months. Each resume employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you are applying to. Start dates are not flexible. Block scheduling is not guaranteed, but may be accommodated if possible.

Unit Details: Daily workload includes 5-6 vents and 35 treatments in 12 hours. Patient population includes adults and pediatric patients; neonatal care is limited to clinicians with NICU training. RTs attend all deliveries and C-sections. Duties include drawing and analyzing ABGs, providing treatments, and managing ventilator settings. RTs are not required to intubate independently but must assist with intubation. Intensivist coverage is in-house 24/7. At the main hospital, the RT will not be alone; at Foothills ED, the RT may be the only RT on site. Equipment includes Vent-Avea, Hamilton C1, BiPAP-V60, EV300, HiFlow-Aerovo 2, Zoll vents for backup, and Glidescope and Glidescope-GO for intubation.

Shift & Scheduling: The weekly hour commitment is 36 hours only; 48-hour commitments are not available. Additional shifts may be picked up. Weekend rotation is every other weekend. Travelers will work 2 of 3 major holidays. May be placed on low census.

Floating Requirements: May float to Foothills Freestanding ED, a freestanding location 15 minutes away.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
