Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• Experience with Meditech is preferred.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System.

Additional Details:
Lab Completion: All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Required Skills/Experience: Community hospital experience is required. Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, Extubation, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oral/nasal suctioning, Pulmonary hygiene, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy care and suctioning, Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Tobramycin, Xopenex, aerosol set up mask, aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI), hand held, T-piece, trach collar, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs).
Preferred Skills/Experience: Preferred ventilator experience: Servo I, LTV, Hamilton T1.
Unit Details: Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatric/adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Fully functional 24/7 in-house respiratory therapy department with care areas and responsibilities encompassing ICU, emergency department, Med-Surg, pediatrics, and low-volume newborn stabilization. May work alone or in conjunction with a second therapist. Primarily adult bedside care, but should be comfortable caring for all ages, including newborn stabilization prior to transport and pediatric patients. Routine medication delivery through invasive and noninvasive ventilator management. May be asked to perform the occasional EKG after hours in support of the Cardiology department. May be asked to provide care to COVID-19 populations.

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)
