Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have NICU experience.
Required Credentials: STABLE and NRP are only required for NICU or travelers handling babies.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Previous employees may be considered only as a one-off exception with St. Luke’s Health System approval. Block scheduling available.
Unit Details: Uses Epic. Up to 30 treatments per shift depending on season; assignments are divided by floor rather than a point system, so workload can vary. Patient population ranges from NICU to geriatrics, including ICU, stepdown, Med-Surg, a small pediatric unit, and a Level III NICU with vents once in a while; no PICU. Covers inpatient and ER. Job duties include drawing and analyzing ABGs, breathing treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, ventilator management, and assisting with bedside bronchoscopy; does not perform EKGs. Assists with intubation and may place an LMA. A team lead or charge therapist is always on shift; a traveler may serve as charge depending on experience and willingness. The traveler would not be the only RT in-house. Equipment includes Drager vents, Cervo-NICU, Hamilton transport vent, Vapotherm, Philips V60, and Philips V30.
Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling. Every other weekend. Holidays worked if there is a need.
Floating Requirements: First to float; may float to ICU, floors, NICU, and ER.
14 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
