Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 3-4 years of experience preferred.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. RTO requests will be coordinated with scheduling.

Unit Details: Average treatment volume is 90-100 treatments per day. Patient population includes adults, pediatric patients, and neonates; neonatal care is provided in the ER or pediatric setting, not the NICU. Coverage includes inpatient MS, PCU, and ICU; ER, rehab, PACU, SNF, endoscopy, cath lab, same-day surgery, and outpatient ABGs and 6-minute walks. Duties include floor coverage, breathing treatments, ABGs, capillary sticks for I-Stats, and management of respiratory equipment. RTs assist with intubations only. A hospitalist or intensivist is not in-house 24/7. Equipment includes Puritan Bennett 840 ventilators, V60 BiPAP machines, and Airvo 2 high-flow systems.

Shift & Scheduling: Available shift options are 12s from 630p-630a or mid shifts from 215p-1045p (5x8s per week). Schedule follows a 4-week rotation; self-scheduling is not available. Every other weekend is required per the schedule. May be asked to work in the holiday rotation on the 4-week rotating schedule. No call.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
