Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2140 per week.

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Special Requests: - If candidate worked at a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from that perm facility. - Cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. - At least 1 reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to.

Required Skills/Experience: - 2 years experience in specialty. - Ventilatory skills required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Pediatric experience preferred.

Required Credentials: - PCOT required.

Unit Details: - Covers inpatient, outpatient, and ED respiratory care. - 50-75+ treatments per day depending on census. - Days have 2 RTs for inpatient and 1 RT for outpatient; nights have 1 RT for inpatient. - Mostly adult patients; in ED you will see adults, pediatrics, and neonates, with occasional L&D neonates. - Inpatient duties include vent management, ABG draws, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, nebulizers, MDIs, and flutter/airway clearance. - Outpatient duties include setting up nocturnal pulse oximetry and blood gases. - RTs currently assist with intubation rather than intubating independently. - One RT may be assigned to the ER and will have a lighter load that day. - Uses Meditech. - RT equipment includes Hamilton Medical C1 and C3 vents, Masimo SoftFlow high flow systems, Masimo pulse oximeters, GEM5000 ABG analyzer, and ResMed bedside CPAP/BiPAP. - Hospitalist or intensivist is in house during the day and on call at night.

Shift & Scheduling: - 12-hour shifts: 5:45-615; every Monday and Tuesday dayshift, alternating Wednesday and Friday nightshift. - Every other weekend. - Holidays as needed. - Extra shifts may be available to pick up due to vacation requests.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
